PEACE. It’s only been one week, but my Word Up has had quite the workout.
First, I found out some really hard news about a loved one, and I used PEACE to guide me into a decision that was not only a win for my loved one but also for me.
This is new. In the past, I often would go right to what’s best for the loved one without considering what it would do to me. I kept my PEACE.
Second, I made a mistake. I make a lot of them in a week, but this one impacted somebody I care about. I used PEACE and slowed down in my response. After I sent my thoughtful response that took me two days to write, I received his response back thanking me for being so warm. Warm. That’s a new word.
Third, I created more PEACE in my life by not going to a meeting I didn’t need to be at, would put me in an unsafe heart space, and I was dreading. I kept my PEACE and used that time to write.
How have you used your Word Up?
At my first quarter A-Team (advisors) meeting, we were sharing our Word Ups with each other.
Three of us had our words. One of us had a word but felt it was changing. Another didn’t have her word yet. And another wasn’t sure her word was strong enough.
One asked, “Kristi, how do you come up with your Word Up?”
I replied, “It depends. This year, I journaled. In the past, it’s been an experience. Another time, it was a conversation. How do you all decide?”
One advisor said, “I pray on it.”
Another said, “I work too much. I need more life in my life.” For her, it was a pain point.
Another said she wanted to do a Word Up session to help her figure it out.
This is my Moxie Moment. Understanding how powerful Word Up is-not just for me and my A-Team, but for the greater good.

1. How do you choose your Word Up?
This year, my Word Up appeared in October. I was journaling, “What do I really really want in 2024?” and the first sentence I wrote was, “I want PEACE.”
Here are some prompts to help you choose your Word Up.
